As international travelers seek more affordable alternatives to data roaming, the demand for travel eSIMs is expected to grow by about one-third this year, posing a threat to traditional mobile operators. Analysts from research firm FDM CCS Insight estimate that the global usage of travel eSIMs will reach approximately 134 million this year, up from 101.8 million in 2025.
