On August 18, reports emerged that, on the morning of August 17, the Hainan Provincial Press Conference Series on "Initiating the 15th Five-Year Plan" featured a dedicated session for Wenchang City. Yuan Shiying, the Deputy Director of the Wenchang International Aerospace City Administration Bureau, highlighted Wenchang's proactive efforts to bolster its launch and manufacturing capabilities. Presently, the commercial launch site's Positions 1 and 2 are functioning routinely, while the satellite mega-factory has commenced trial production. Construction of the offshore recovery platform and measurement and control systems is also progressing at an accelerated pace. It is anticipated that by the year's end, the newly established Positions 3 and 4 will be prepared for launch operations, coinciding with the debut of the first satellite from the mega-factory. Moreover, significant rocket chain projects, including China Commercial Fire, Kuaizhou Space, Tianbing Technology, and Jianyuan Technology, have initiated construction in succession. Wenchang is committed to further enhancing ancillary facilities such as transfer roads and transportation docks, expediting the development of commercial launch capabilities characterized by high density, high reliability, and low cost, thereby offering robust support for the "Hundred Rockets, Thousand Satellites" mission.
