Meituan has rolled out a pilot program for its 'Pause Timer at Traffic Light' feature in Beijing's Chaoyang District, Tongzhou District, and the Economic and Technological Development Zone. The platform organized a discussion forum, bringing together frontline delivery personnel and academic experts to facilitate an exchange of insights. During this forum, a substantial amount of authentic feedback was gathered from the delivery riders. This innovative feature allows the system to automatically extend the delivery time when riders are halted at a red light. Following its initial launch in Suzhou, the implementation of this feature in Beijing has led to numerous riders reporting a noticeable decrease in their anxiety levels while completing deliveries.
