On August 11, Vietnamese aerospace company VinSpace signed an agreement with SpaceX to launch its first batch of satellites next year. VinSpace is building a domestic aerospace business encompassing satellite manufacturing, operations, and data services. According to the agreement, VinSpace's satellites will be launched in 2027 via SpaceX's Transporter rideshare mission, with VinSpace responsible for the research, development, manufacturing, and in-orbit operations of the satellites. These satellites will be used to validate independently developed technologies, enhance satellite engineering capabilities, and lay the foundation for future commercial aerospace applications. The agreement marks a new step forward in the development of Vietnam's domestic aerospace industry, with VinSpace striving to establish full satellite value chain capabilities.
