Kawasaki Heavy Industries, a renowned Japanese industrial giant, recently conducted a project briefing for its innovative quadruped walking robot, dubbed "CORLEO". In April of this year, the company assembled a dedicated development team comprising several dozen experts and forged a partnership with NVIDIA to expedite the advancement of its control technology. Their ambitious roadmap includes completing a prototype by 2028 and officially launching the product for sale in 2035.

CORLEO is designed to be a rideable robot, capable of navigating mountainous terrains with remarkable agility. Its design draws inspiration from the majestic lion, although it stands at a size comparable to a large motorcycle, leading some netizens to humorously remark that it bears a closer resemblance to a gorilla. To operate CORLEO, riders simply grip the handlebars and shift their center of gravity, while the robot utilizes its built-in cameras and sensors to assess road conditions and propel itself forward.

The conceptual design of CORLEO was first revealed in April of the previous year. This cutting-edge robot is powered by a 150cc hydrogen-fueled engine and features an interactive control center that displays navigation and posture data, ensuring a seamless and intuitive user experience.
