According to sources familiar with the matter, JPMorgan Chase has relocated more than 30 quantitative analysts from mainland China to Singapore and Hong Kong in recent months, aiming to centralize its teams in regional hubs and bring them closer to business units. Earlier this year, JPMorgan Chase established a quantitative trading and research team to accelerate its electronic trading business and address the challenges posed by the rapid expansion of non-bank market makers such as Citadel Securities and Jane Street Group LLC through electronic trading.
