According to estimates by financial analysis firm S3 Partners, approximately 206 million shares of SpaceX are currently being shorted, accounting for 32% of the publicly tradable floating stock, with a notional short position size of approximately $25 billion. Musk warned that investors shorting SpaceX have almost no chance of survival. SpaceX confirmed on Tuesday that it will release its first quarterly financial report after the market closes on August 4th following its listing.
