On July 14, the domestically manufactured nuclear-grade ion exchange resin—jointly developed by Hainan Nuclear Power, the Nuclear Power Institute of China, and Xi’an Sunresin New Materials Technology Co., Ltd.—passed a rigorous product evaluation conducted by the China Nuclear Energy Association. Hainan Nuclear Power has become the first nuclear enterprise in China to achieve real-stack verification of this resin within the primary circuit of a commercial nuclear unit. This achievement marks a significant milestone in advancing the self-sufficiency and technological control of critical chemical materials for China’s nuclear power sector.
