Our reporters have obtained information from the Institute of Chemistry at the Chinese Academy of Sciences indicating that, on July 13, a research team led by Academician Li Yongfang and Researcher Meng Lei from the institute unveiled their latest research achievements in the esteemed international academic journal, Nature. By incorporating photoswitchable additive molecules and devising a 'comprehensive regulation' strategy, the team successfully developed perovskite-organic tandem solar cells that achieved a remarkable stabilized photoelectric conversion efficiency of 28.04%, setting a new global benchmark. These innovative solar cells not only boast the benefits of being lightweight and flexible but also retain 90% of their initial efficiency after enduring 625 hours of uninterrupted illumination. Looking ahead, they hold great promise for applications in building-integrated photovoltaics, wearable technology, and the aerospace industry, thereby offering crucial technological backing for China's ongoing energy transformation.
