Recently, Professor Xu Wentao and his team at Nankai University have achieved a groundbreaking feat by developing the world's inaugural bionic auditory nerve interface. This innovative creation constructs an artificial auditory neuromorphic interface adept at mimicking the nervous system of mammals. This significant accomplishment successfully establishes a comprehensive cycle encompassing sound signal acquisition, neural encoding, semantic processing, and bioelectrical signal output, thereby paving a novel route for auditory reconstruction.
