Mastercard is considering selling a majority stake in its payment institution Vocalink. Currently, related negotiations are still in the preliminary stages, and no definite acquisition offer has been received. If 51% of the controlling stake is sold, the transaction is estimated to be worth around £400 million. Mastercard declined to comment on this. Vocalink manages most of the retail payment systems in the UK and was acquired by Mastercard in 2016.
