On May 2 (local time), Berkshire Hathaway held its Annual Shareholders Meeting in Omaha, USA. Warren Buffett, the 95-year-old chairman, attended the meeting but did not take the helm as the host of the Q&A session—a role he had fulfilled for 60 years. Instead, the new CEO, Greg Abel, presided over the Q&A session for the first time. During the first session, Abel answered questions alongside Ajit Jain, the company's vice chairman. In the second session, he engaged in discussions with other leaders of affiliated companies. The market is keenly observing whether Abel will uphold Buffett’s value investment philosophy, as well as how he will manage the company’s substantial $373 billion cash reserves and refine its investment portfolio.
