US mining company Critical Metals has signed a letter of intent to acquire all outstanding shares of Australian lithium miner European Lithium for approximately $835 million, thereby fully owning the Tanbreez rare earth project in Greenland. Currently, Critical Metals holds a 92.5% stake in the project, while European Lithium holds the remaining 7.5%. Following the announcement, Critical Metals' share price surged more than 12% in early trading before narrowing to an 8% gain.
