The Hong Kong stock market has emerged as a pivotal arena for fund companies' strategic planning. As of April 16, a total of 46 Hong Kong stock-themed funds have been launched this year, marking a significant year-on-year doubling. Currently, 11 Hong Kong stock-themed funds are in the process of issuance, with an additional four having released their offering announcements and poised to commence issuance soon.
From an investment standpoint, the technology sector within the Hong Kong stock market has drawn considerable attention. Particularly noteworthy are the Hong Kong Stock Connect Information Technology-themed Exchange-Traded Funds (ETFs), which have enticed multiple leading fund companies to participate. Since April, three related ETFs have been listed, with another one established and awaiting listing. Furthermore, Huaan, China Merchants, and other firms are currently issuing CSI Hong Kong Stock Connect Information Technology Composite ETFs.
Simultaneously, the pharmaceutical sector in the Hong Kong stock market is also garnering significant interest. Funds associated with the CSI Hong Kong Stock Connect Medical Theme, offered by companies such as E Fund, Yin Hua, and GF Securities, are currently in the process of issuance.
