On March 31st, the research team led by Associate Professor Li Xuguang from the University of Jinan published a research paper titled "Self-Powered Electron Transfer on Single-Atom Dual-Reaction Center: Enabling High-Efficiency Catalysis in Oxidant-Free Systems" in Water Research, a leading journal in the environmental science field. The research involved the design and synthesis of a single-atom iron dual-reaction center catalyst (Fe-N4), which facilitates the efficient degradation of pollutants without the need for oxidants. This breakthrough offers a novel approach to green and sustainable water treatment technologies.
