On March 31, our reporters obtained information from the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology revealing that nine governmental departments have collectively rolled out the Action Plan for Innovative Development of the Internet of Things Industry. The plan outlines a vision where, by 2028, the IoT landscape will be teeming with cutting-edge technologies, innovative products, and novel business models, accompanied by a sustained enhancement in the industry's innovative prowess. It sets ambitious goals to develop and refine over 50 state-of-the-art standards, nurture 10 application domains boasting hundreds of millions of connections, and another 15 with tens of millions of connections. Furthermore, it aspires to reach a staggering tens of billions of IoT terminal connections, propelling the core industry's value to surpass the 3.5 trillion yuan mark.
