The Raspberry Pi Foundation has announced that due to a significant increase in DRAM costs, it will raise the prices of several products and introduce a 3GB RAM version of the Raspberry Pi 4. Company CEO Eben Upton stated in a blog post that the cost of LPDDR4 memory for the Raspberry Pi 4 and 5 has increased approximately sevenfold, leading to price hikes for models with 4GB of RAM or more, with increases ranging from $25 to $100.
