LG Energy Solution announced on Wednesday that it has signed an agreement with the U.S. subsidiary of Hanwha Solutions Corporation to provide batteries for its Energy Storage System (ESS) projects. To avoid uncertainties related to tariffs, both parties plan to conduct local production. LG Energy Solution Vertech, a wholly-owned subsidiary of LG Energy Solution, will supply 5 gigawatt-hours of batteries to Hanwha Qcells USA Inc. from 2028 to 2030.
