In January 2026, Amazon reached an agreement to pay around $309.5 million to bring an end to a class-action lawsuit centered on its return and refund policies. This settlement forms part of a larger arrangement that surpasses $1 billion. It includes over $600 million in refunds that have either already been distributed or are set to be distributed, along with extra compensation. Moreover, the settlement deal encompasses non-monetary compensatory actions valued at over $363 million, aimed at enhancing the return process. However, this proposal is still awaiting the court's approval.
