For instance, an entry like 'Microsoft Corporation–Driver Update' is typically succeeded by a cryptic version number, leaving users at a loss as to whether the update pertains to a printer, camera, or speaker driver. In response to this, Microsoft is set to overhaul its driver naming system, mandating the inclusion of explicit device category tags—such as 'Camera', 'Display Adapter', and so on—in the names. This move aims to enhance user comprehension regarding the specific function of each driver.
