On January 6th, Unitree Technology made an announcement stating that its robots, the Unitree G1 and R1, have earned the distinction of being the official recommended platforms for RoboCup. The participating teams are set to leverage these two robots for the design, programming, and debugging of humanoid robots. The RoboCup Soccer Competition serves as the central event of the RoboCup Robot World Cup, with the ambitious aim of assembling a fully autonomous robot soccer team capable of defeating the human World Cup champions by the year 2050.
