On December 22, according to the latest research from TrendForce, due to the increased demand for deploying satellite constellations like Starlink, space manufacturer SpaceX has shifted from partial recovery rocket technology to full recovery. Meanwhile, traditional large-scale rocket manufacturers such as Arianespace, Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, and China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation have significantly increased their willingness to invest in the verification of first-stage rocket recovery technology. Currently, the average launch cost for disposable rockets ranges from $110 million to $180 million, while the cost for partially recoverable rockets is approximately $67 million. As major global manufacturers actively develop recoverable technologies, if full recovery is achieved, launch costs are expected to drop to between $2 million and $5 million.
