Recently, JD Logistics has rolled out an innovative pilot program, marking an industry first, for its "Extreme Cold Protection" services in Heilongjiang. Specifically tailored to combat the harsh, low-temperature conditions prevalent in Heilongjiang, this pioneering service is set to dramatically reduce freight freeze damage in extremely cold areas by more than 70%. This is achieved through the implementation of three pivotal strategies: the use of custom-made insulated cage vehicles, the deployment of specialized cold-chain vehicles, and the construction of temporary insulated shelters. At present, the service encompasses 18 primary categories of goods that are particularly susceptible to freezing in Heilongjiang. JD Logistics is committed to gathering feedback from this pilot initiative to further refine and enhance the service. Looking ahead, there are plans to extend this groundbreaking service to other regions that experience similarly severe cold.
