On December 6th, LandSpace unveiled a detailed video capturing the entire first flight of its reusable ZQ-3 Yao-1 launch vehicle. The rocket successfully accomplished its orbital flight mission, with its first stage undergoing a planned vertical recovery technology flight test. Throughout the flight, the first stage adeptly navigated the most demanding 'supersonic re-entry aerodynamic gliding phase' among all recoverable technologies. The rocket's thermal protection for its body structure, overall aerodynamic design, and attitude control system all demonstrated stable performance, with the relevant designs successfully withstanding the rigors of a real-world flight environment. Furthermore, during the re-entry ignition and aerodynamic gliding phases, the rocket achieved high-precision guidance and control towards its designated recovery point on the landing site, thereby validating the accuracy of the cold gas reaction control system, the grid fin joint compound control strategy, and the guidance algorithm.
