On December 6, 2025, Fujian Province achieved a significant technological breakthrough in the realm of deep-sea and long-distance offshore new energy equipment. The integrated platform, which combines floating wind power generation with on-site hydrogen production from seawater—eliminating the need for desalination—was independently developed by the Dongfu Research Institute. This platform has successfully obtained a certificate of principle approval from the China Classification Society, marking it as the world's inaugural floating wind power hydrogen production platform to attain this certification. The platform's system design is scientifically robust, safe, and practical, ensuring stable performance under the marine environmental conditions outlined in its design specifications.
