On the afternoon of the 26th, China made a significant stride in space security by launching its 'Star Eye' space awareness constellation in Beijing. The ambitious project envisions deploying 156 satellites to establish a comprehensive near-Earth orbit monitoring network, aimed at safeguarding the space environment. Leveraging the platform independently developed by SatMap Measurement and Control, the constellation will furnish satellites with crucial space traffic management data services.
At present, the space environment is confronted with a myriad of challenges, underscoring the growing importance of space situation awareness. SatMap Measurement and Control has expressed its commitment to the future, vowing to ramp up investment in research and development, fortify its core competencies, foster collaborative construction and sharing initiatives, and play a pivotal role in cultivating a secure and orderly space environment. In doing so, the company aims to make substantial contributions to the realization of China's aspiration to become a leading space power.
