This move signifies ByteDance's resumption of a sale plan that had been shelved the previous year. In 2021, ByteDance acquired Moonton Technology—renowned for developing popular titles like 'Mobile Legends: Bang Bang'—at an estimated valuation of approximately US$4 billion.

Savvy Games Group, established in 2021 by the Saudi Public Investment Fund, has a strategic focus on investing in the video game industry. Meanwhile, ByteDance has withdrawn from the video game sector for a while now.
