On November 15, the test module for the CYZ1 manned spacecraft, a project developed by Beijing ChuanYueZhe Manned Spaceflight Technology Co., Ltd., officially made its debut as it rolled off the production line. This particular test module is set to undertake the critical verification mission for the first-ever full-scale manned spacecraft landing buffer technology in China's burgeoning commercial spaceflight industry.
Weighing in at nearly 5 tons, the module boasts a diameter of approximately 4 meters and stands about 3 meters tall. Its design features a hyperboloid sidewall paired with a thin-walled, monolithic hard-shell structure. This innovative configuration not only enhances aerodynamic performance and maximizes volume efficiency but also prioritizes the utmost safety for the crew on board.
