The Mac Pro, which was once Apple's most coveted and top-performing model, has reached a nadir in recent times. It has been entirely eclipsed by the Mac Studio and appears to be on the brink of being phased out of the market. According to Bloomberg journalist Mark Gurman, Apple has essentially turned its back on this product line. The company has no intentions of launching an updated version either by the end of 2025 or in 2026. Moreover, it has axed the M4 Ultra processor, which was initially earmarked for the new Mac Pro. Nevertheless, Apple is still anticipated to unveil the M5 Ultra as its next-generation flagship desktop processor. However, there are no current plans to incorporate it into the Mac Pro lineup. At present, the Mac Studio stands as the embodiment of Apple's professional desktop computer strategy, representing both its current state and future direction.
