CITIC Securities, in its latest research report, highlights the rapid acceleration in the industrialization of solid-state batteries. The forecast suggests that by 2030, global shipments of solid-state batteries will surge past 700GWh, with all-solid-state variants exceeding 200GWh. Presently, China stands at the forefront, having already achieved mass production of semi-solid-state batteries, outpacing Europe, the United States, Japan, and South Korea. The development of all-solid-state batteries is also gaining momentum, with plans to integrate them into vehicles and commence small-scale production between 2026 and 2027, aiming for full commercialization by 2030. By 2026, semi-solid-state batteries are anticipated to witness substantial growth across various sectors, including consumer electronics, power, and energy storage, while all-solid-state batteries will embark on vehicle integration verification. Hence, seizing investment opportunities in the battery, material, and equipment sectors is strongly recommended.
