By the end of September 2025, China's installed capacity for new energy storage had soared past 100 million kilowatts. This marks a staggering growth of over 30 times compared to the levels at the end of the 13th Five-Year Plan period. Currently, China's installed capacity accounts for over 40% of the global total, securing its position as the world leader in this field. In terms of regional distribution, the installed capacity of operational new energy storage in North China has reached 31.18 million kilowatts, making up 30.4% of the national total. Meanwhile, Northwest China boasts an installed capacity of 26.72 million kilowatts, representing 26.1% of the national total. Additionally, East China has an installed capacity of 16.55 million kilowatts, accounting for 16.1% of the national total.
