Amazon has unveiled innovative self-service medication dispensing kiosks, effectively closing the divide between medical practices and pharmacies. Following their doctor's appointments, patients now have the option to swiftly obtain their prescribed medications straight from these kiosks, bypassing the necessity of going to off-site pharmacies or enduring lengthy queues. Initially, these self-service kiosks will be set up at One Medical clinics (a primary healthcare provider owned by Amazon) in Los Angeles, with the intention of subsequently rolling them out to additional One Medical branches and other medical facilities. The primary goal of these kiosks is to simplify and expedite the process of collecting prescription medications, thereby relieving patients of the inconvenience associated with traveling and waiting in line.
