On October 8, the Phase II expansion and upgrade project of the Fulin sodium-ion battery energy storage power station in Wuming District, Nanning City, Guangxi, was officially put into operation. As the nation's first large-capacity sodium-ion battery energy storage power station, this project provides strong support for the consumption of green electricity. After the expansion, the power station can achieve 600 charge-discharge cycles annually, and can newly consume approximately 30 million kilowatt-hours of wind and solar power each year, which is equivalent to reducing standard coal consumption by 9,000 tons and carbon dioxide emissions by 13,500 tons, meeting the annual electricity demand of approximately 20,000 households.
