Based on the 'World Robotics Report 2025' published by the International Federation of Robotics, the number of operational industrial robots in China soared past the 2 million mark in 2024, hitting an all-time high of 2,027,000 units. This figure represents 43.5% of the global total, securing China's position as the world leader in this regard. In 2024, the worldwide count of operational industrial robots reached 4,664,000 units, marking a 9% year-on-year increase. Meanwhile, China's annual installations of such robots saw a 7% year-on-year rise, reaching 295,000 units. This accounts for 54% of the global demand, setting yet another record for the nation. During the same timeframe, Japan installed 44,500 units, the United States 34,200 units, and South Korea 30,600 units. Geographically, Asia dominated the global scene, accounting for 74% of newly installed robots. In contrast, Europe and the Americas contributed 16% and 9%, respectively.
