Recently, Chang Guang Satellite Technology Co., Ltd. unveiled a series of photographs showcasing Beijing, captured by the Jilin-1 Gaofen 05B satellite. This satellite, which was launched into orbit on November 11, 2024, marks the second technical verification satellite in Chang Guang Satellite's ongoing series of mass-produced models. Its primary purpose is to test and validate critical technologies, notably the high-resolution imaging capabilities of newly developed payloads. With the ability to capture remote sensing images boasting a resolution finer than 0.5 meters and a swath width of over 13.5 kilometers, the satellite provides a crystal-clear glimpse into Beijing's present-day condition and the diverse landscapes of its various specialized functional zones. The released images vividly portray the city's current state and the unique sceneries of its multiple, distinct functional areas.
