Recently, Microsoft has initiated testing of a novel feature within the Dev and Beta channels of the Windows 11 preview program: a full-screen SCOOBE interface designed to prompt Microsoft 365 subscribers to renew their services. In instances where a subscription renewal is unsuccessful or nearing its expiration date, the system will present a full-screen notification at startup, guiding users to review their subscription status and update their payment details. The SCOOBE screen, which was initially employed for guided setup during the initial device boot-up, now incorporates a functionality to remind users about subscription renewals. At present, this feature is exclusively undergoing testing in the Windows Insider preview edition. Its potential inclusion in the official release is still uncertain, and Microsoft retains the flexibility to make modifications. Users who prefer not to receive such alerts have the option to disable them via the 'Settings > System > Notifications > Additional notifications' pathway.
