The U.S. Army has recently bestowed a competitive prototype contract for the development of advanced combat goggles upon a partnership formed by Anduril Industries and Meta Platforms, along with a team spearheaded by Rivet Industries. Specifically, Rivet's portion of the contract is valued at $195 million, whereas Anduril's segment stands at $159 million. These state-of-the-art goggles are set to integrate cutting-edge technology originally derived from the Integrated Visual Augmentation System (IVAS), which was previously led by Microsoft. The primary objective of this integration is to significantly bolster soldiers' abilities to navigate and maneuver on the battlefield with greater efficiency and precision.
