The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) has recently unveiled guiding principles intended to streamline business access and foster the growth of the satellite communications sector. These guidelines urge telecommunications operators to collaborate with satellite companies, explore the capabilities of high-orbit satellite applications, and expedite the deployment and utilization of direct satellite connectivity for terminal devices, such as mobile phones, thereby offering users satellite-based voice and messaging services. Concurrently, the principles also advocate for telecom operators to leverage low-orbit satellite internet to broaden high-speed data services and propel the integrated development of space-ground information infrastructure.
