On August 26 at 3 PM, the State Council Information Office hosted a press conference. At the event, Ling Ji, Vice Minister of the Ministry of Commerce, emphasized China's unwavering commitment to opening up to the world. Last year, pilot programs were initiated in select regions to liberalize sectors such as value-added telecommunications, biotechnology, and wholly-owned hospitals. These pilots have achieved notable successes and made positive strides. Moving forward, the Ministry of Commerce plans to actively and steadily broaden the scope of these pilot projects and continue to foster openness in the relevant fields. Additionally, it will ensure national treatment for foreign-invested enterprises, address specific market access challenges, and guarantee that foreign investors not only gain entry but also operate smoothly within China's market.
