In September 2025, Beijing will initiate the first National Science Popularization Month, embracing the theme "Science and Technology Transform Lives, Innovation Secures the Future." This event aims to organize approximately 3,000 diverse and engaging science popularization activities across the city, tailored to five key demographics: youth, farmers, industrial workers, seniors, and leading officials and civil servants. The month-long celebration will highlight Beijing's significant scientific and technological advancements, the expertise of top research teams, and innovative models of science and technology dissemination during the 14th Five-Year Plan period, with a particular emphasis on fostering an international hub for scientific and technological innovation. Additionally, through various formats including scientific education practices, exhibitions, and interactive experiences, the event will extensively promote mass science and culture activities, striving to enhance the scientific literacy of the general public. Concurrently, to bolster international and domestic exchanges in science popularization, Beijing will host numerous international science popularization exchange events, fostering collaboration and sharing of high-quality science popularization resources.
