Guangxi has been designated as a high-priority area (Category I) for Chikungunya prevention and control, following recent outbreaks that have been reported in multiple regions, amounting to more than 40 cases. Instances of the virus have been detected in various districts of Nanning, as well as in Baise and Hezhou. The majority of patients have exhibited mild symptoms and have received appropriate treatment. The Center for Disease Control (CDC) of the Autonomous Region emphasizes the need to intensify prevention and control measures in schools, encompassing environmental disinfection, reduction of mosquito vector density, and rigorous health monitoring.
