The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) of the United States has concluded its investigation into the SpaceX Starship 9 flight accident, affirming that the primary cause was a fuel component failure and that the incident posed no threat to public safety. SpaceX intends to modify the re-entry angle for Starship 10 and incorporate additional testing measures, with the launch site continuing to be located in Texas. Starship 10 will mark the inaugural attempt at payload deployment and engine reignition. Despite experiencing three prior failures, Starship remains a pivotal component of NASA's Artemis program. The FAA has granted SpaceX permission to conduct up to 25 Starship launches annually.
