South Korean entrepreneur Do Kwon, the creator of the digital currency TerraUSD and its platform token Luna, faced warrants from both South Korea and the United States following the collapse of the currency, with accusations of fraud leveled against him. Recently, he pleaded guilty to two counts of telecommunication, securities, and commodity fraud in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York, located in Manhattan. As part of the agreement, the prosecution will recommend a prison sentence of no more than 12 years, with the final sentence to be announced on December 11.
