On August 13, the private equity giant EQT Group announced that its funds have initiated a tender offer of approximately $320 million with the intention of privatizing CareNet, a leading Japanese digital healthcare platform. Both the CareNet board of directors and its special committee have endorsed the tender offer, advising shareholders to accept it. Additionally, EQT has secured a tender offer support agreement with CareNet's major shareholders, who have pledged to sell their entire holdings.
