Amazon's cloud computing division, AWS, reported revenues of $30.9 billion in the second quarter, marking an 18% year-over-year increase and contributing 18% to the company's overall revenue. Its operating income stood at $10.2 billion, falling short of expectations but maintaining its status as Amazon's primary profit driver. Meanwhile, Alphabet's cloud business revenue surged 32% to $13.62 billion during the same period. Microsoft, for the first time, disclosed revenues from Azure and other cloud services, totaling over $75 billion, reflecting a 39% quarter-over-quarter growth.
