Amazon Web Services (AWS) is rapidly expanding its global server infrastructure, having recently established a data center in Mexico and planning to construct new facilities across multiple countries. Despite recording a 17% revenue growth in the first quarter, AWS finds itself trailing behind Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud in terms of growth rate. To bolster its competitive edge, AWS has forged a partnership with NVIDIA, aiming to fortify its AI computing capabilities by integrating the highly acclaimed GB200 chip. AWS CEO Andy Jassy affirmed that the company remains committed to investing in AI and remains open to collaborations with OpenAI and Anthropic, regardless of whether their models or deployments reside on other cloud platforms.
