On March 31, 2025, China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) unveiled the "2025 Work Plan for Industrial and Information Technology Standards." The plan underscores the importance of enhancing standards for burgeoning industries, with a particular focus on refining standards for cutting-edge information technologies like cloud computing and big data. Concurrently, MIIT will facilitate the development of standards encompassing fundamental and universal IT applications, key technologies, product services, industry implementations, and security management, aiming to foster innovations in next-generation information technology products. Furthermore, the plan accelerates the establishment of a standard framework for new information infrastructure, encompassing research into standards for 5G-Advanced (5G-A), low-altitude information infrastructure, 6G, and quantum secure communication.
