The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) has released a directive outlining the focal points for industrial and informatization standardization efforts in 2025. This directive aims to refine the standards for cutting-edge information technologies, encompassing cloud computing, big data, blockchain, and the Beidou navigation system. The notice underscores the comprehensive advancement of standards for the general framework, key technologies, product services, industry applications, and security governance of these new-generation technologies, with the objective of catalyzing innovative breakthroughs in related application products. Concurrently, MIIT will expedite the development of a standard system for new-type information infrastructure, with a particular emphasis on exploring standards for 5G-Advanced (5G-A), low-altitude information infrastructure, 6G, and quantum secure communications.
