This new feature allows users to seamlessly send and receive text messages directly within Teams Chat, with ambitions to extend this functionality to global markets in the near future. The service is accessible to users who have subscribed to Microsoft Teams Calling Plans and have registered numbers in the specified regions. All SMS messages sent via Teams are classified as business messages, necessitating registration with the 10DLC network prior to use. This measure significantly decreases the likelihood of messages being misidentified as spam and enhances the reliability of message delivery.
