On November 6, at the 2026 Mobile Network Conference, China Mobile Chairman Chen Zhongyue stated that communications networks are transitioning from person-to-person to human-machine interaction, expanding from ground coverage to air, space, land, and sea, and shifting from best-effort to deterministic assurance. They should not merely serve as "traffic pipes" but should become a "digital and intelligent foundation." China Mobile will go all out to build a new-generation communications network: upgrading the basic network, enhancing deep coverage in hotspot areas, building and optimizing the railway 5G private network, and accelerating technological innovation and live-network deployment of super uplink; deepening satellite-terrestrial integration, strengthening the Tianqi constellation, enhancing network capabilities in coastal waters, islands, and border areas, and achieving seamless coverage and always-on connectivity; improving the layout of international network infrastructure, smoothing digital channels in key directions such as the "Belt and Road," and enhancing connectivity and network resilience; strengthening co-construction and sharing, promoting efficient coordination across all frequency bands, improving the quality of full-spectrum networks, exploring cross-industry infrastructure co-construction, and broadening service scenarios; consolidating 5G advantages, advancing 6G development, and expanding the network boundaries of space-terrestrial integration, communications-intelligence integration, and communications-sensing integration.
